Mission:
To be a resource for parents about the health of children of all ages.

Background:
A tool for parents, especially new ones, the site supplies information about newborn care, choosing a pediatrician, and what to expect during a child's first years. It also contains information about the health of children up to the teen years. The latest addition to the Palo Alto Medical Foundation's Web site, Your Child's Health @ PAMF was developed with assistance from PAMF pediatricians and family practice physicians.

Outstanding Features:
Sections of the Web site are devoted to the care of newborns, with information on infant development, breastfeeding, common concerns, and safety; and to health maintenance, with guidelines for immunizations and exams from birth to age seventeen. Common Concerns covers childhood diseases, typical injuries, fitness, and nutrition, as well as subjects ranging from parenting to managing a child's electronic media consumption. PAMF physicians answer frequently asked questions, including those submitted by visitors to the site. A free monthly e-newsletteris available.
