On the Web - Columbus Foundation
To assist donors and others in strengthening and improving the central Ohio community for the benefit of all its citizens.
One of the ten largest community foundations in the United States, the Columbus Foundation serves as philanthropic advisor to more than seventeen hundred individuals, families, and businesses, providing resources to help them make informed and effective charitable giving decisions.
Outstanding Web Features:
PowerPhilanthropy (free log-in required) provides donors and the public with access to detailed profiles of hundreds of central Ohio nonprofits. Organizations can create a profile that includes information about their programs, finances, management, and services, which donors can review before making a donation. The Columbus Foundation Web site also features a knowledge center, where people can learn more about giving and download surveys, the latest research, trend data, and articles on a range of topics.
