Subaru Launches 2012 'Share the Love' Facebook Campaign
New Jersey-based Subaru of America has announced the launch of the fifth-annual "Share the Love" campaign on Facebook.
Through August 26, Facebook users can vote daily to help select two charities to join the three organizations — the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Make-A-Wish, and the Meals on Wheels Association of America — already selected as part of the 2012 campaign. Charities competing for the final two spots include the Alzheimer's Association, American Forests, First Book, Leave No Trace, the Special Olympics, and United Service Organizations.
As in previous years, the automaker will donate $250, up to a total of $5 million, for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased from November 21 through January 2. Subaru has donated nearly $20 million to charitable causes and organizations since the "Share the Love" campaign debuted four years ago.
"'Share the Love' has always been about giving back to our communities in which we live and work," said Subaru director of marketing communications Alan Bethke. "Subaru 'Share the Love' charitable partners have always reflected the values and ideals of our owners. Empowering our digital demographic via Facebook is a natural extension for 'Share the Love.'"
