how did you get involved?
Sean: I participate in the Believe In Tomorrow Children's Foundation,
a national nonprofit organization that provides
very unique supportive programs to critically
ill children and their families. The Believe
In Tomorrow Foundation provides four separate
programs that help children cope with their
medical treatments. My father started the foundation
21 years ago, and I have been involved as a
volunteer ever since I was a child.

I have worked in many areas and with many
people who also volunteer. That is one of the

One of the things that Believe In Tomorrow does
is build children's Hospital and Retreat Housing.
I have helped in a variety of ways with the
actual process of getting a facility built.
When I was very young, I would help clean up
the construction sites. As I got older, I would
help with other jobs like painting and landscaping.
I have also helped out with the Foundation's
"Hands On Adventures" program, which
gives kids the opportunity to experience really
neat things like race car driving and flying
in the Sanyo blimp.

The best was definitely the opportunity
to help people who need support and maybe bring
some happiness into their lives. I think that
volunteering gives me more in return than I
could ever give. The children that Believe In
Tomorrow serves are really sick and I am sad
about that. I sometimes wish that I could do
have you changed as a result of your experience,
and what would you say to someone who is thinking
of getting involved?
I would say that volunteering for a cause
that you believe in is the best way that you
could ever spend your time. I know that helping
to make a difference in someone else's life
has made a big difference in my life too. I
know that it has helped to make me a better
person and the world a better place.
