Workshop Description:

Over the last several years, nonprofits have increased their use of RFPs as tools to select consultants and vendors. This workshop, especially for nonprofit executives and board members, will help you understand:

  • the advantages and disadvantages of using RFPs
  • what RFPs need to contain to achieve what you want them to
  • important provisions you should add to a services contract
  • how to avoid writing RFPs that scare away good consultants

You will receive a broadly based RFP template, and learn how to adapt it to many types of service and product requests.

Presenters:

Joel Zimmerman, Ph.D., Director of Consulting Services
Nancy Withbroe, CFRE, Manager of Consulting Services,
CDR Fundraising Group
