The Carl M. Freeman Foundation Gives Grants to Small Nonprofits in Montgomery County, Maryland
The Carl M. Freeman Foundation provides funding for organizations located in and serving Montgomery County, Maryland, through the F.A.C.E.S. (Freeman Foundation Assists Communities with Extra Support) Grants Program.
F.A.C.E.S. contributions are made primarily to smaller, overlooked programs that assist seniors, children, and adolescents in the areas of education, culture, recreation, and health and human services. Organizations meeting these criteria may apply for mini-grants of $500 to $2,000. A volunteer advisory board, consisting of leaders in the arts and education, local and state elected officials, and prior grant recipients, works closely with Foundation staff to select the organizations that receive funding.
There are two grant cycles each calendar year. Guidelines, grant application forms, and a list of previous F.A.C.E.S. grant winners are available online.
