The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Names A New Executive Director
Rose Ann Cleveland has been named the new executive director of the Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation.
Dr. Cleveland joined the Foundation in August 2005 as a program officer in the arts and humanities.
The next month, she was named interim acting executive director. With more than 20 years
of experience in arts and education, she previously served as director of programming for the Washington
Performing Arts Society, overseeing a multi-disciplinary season of performances, artist residencies,
commissioning and producing projects, and education programs in venues throughout the DC metropolitan area.
Dr. Cleveland succeeds Anne Allen in this role who acted as executive director from 1989 through 2005
and now serves on the Advisory Board.
