The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region Presented its 2005 Linowes Leadership Awards to Community Leaders
The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region recently presented its 2005 Linowes Leadership Awards to seven unsung heroes whose extraordinary efforts have had a positive impact throughout the Metropolitan area.
The seven awardees are:

a forceful advocate for people living with disabilities, leading the drive at a local level for independence and full integration into society

is dedicated to creating a multicultural community that is open and inclusive

Now in its eighth year, the Linowes Leadership Awards recognizes social entrepreneurs each year who have been a force for positive change in the metropolitan DC area. These unsung heroes represent the best of the region's grassroots leadership. The individual and nonprofit monetary awards are $5,000.
