Meet the Grantmakers: Bay Area Corporate Philanthropy Trends

In celebration of the Foundation Center's 30 years of service in San Francisco, we are offering a series of programs designed to shine the spotlight on how philanthropy and fundraising have evolved in our region and what changes are happening in the field today.

In 2006, through voluntarism, grantmaking, and in-kind donations, corporate contributions reached an estimated $12.72 billion nationally. The San Francisco Business Times reports that the greater San Francisco Bay Area’s top corporate philanthropists increased their Bay Area giving to about $140 million. This panel will address current trends in how Bay Area corporations are selecting the organizations they support, will showcase local corporations who were recently recognized at the San Francisco Business Times Corporate Philanthropy Summit in July, and will also shine the spotlight on a new corporate donor in the region.
