Dwindling Assets, Big Impact: How Seemingly Small Gifts Make Great Change
San Francisco
Monday, July 13, 3:00-5:00 pm
Individual donors and small foundations don’t always have significant resources to donate, but they still expect significant results. This session will examine how small grants can have great impact—from the perspective of both grantseeker and grantmaker. It will describe ways small grants can have increased impact, ideas for how you can position small funding opportunities to yield large results, and examples of small grants that have made significant change. Topics to be explored included the use of small grants for leadership development, planning, convening, matching gifts, seed funding, evaluation, emergency loans, program related investments, and more.
