FAB—Fundraising Planning Clinic
San Francisco
Tuesday, November 3, 3:00-5:00 pm
Co-sponsored with Development Executives Roundtable (DER)
Fundraisers Anxiety Busters (FAB) is a free, peer support network for intermediate and seasoned fundraisers, and nonprofit staff and volunteers with development responsibilities (3 or more years experience requested), to share fundraising strategies and tactics, meet challenges, and solve problems. Peer leaders with expertise in each session's topic will help address issues identified by the group. Light refreshments will be served.
Development professionals must be able to craft and implement a development plan that’s suited to an organization’s budget, resources and capacity. Implementing fundraising plans can be difficult in a tough economic environment, with decreased foundation giving, toned-down events and discontinued government contracts. It is important for fundraisers to stay the course, or course-correct if needed. Do you stick to the plan? When and how do you go into Plan B? Are you in constant contact with your finance staff? Learn from your fundraising peers as they grapple with development and implementation of fundraising plans, so you can embark on a new fiscal year with confidence and (guarded) optimism. Attendance is limited to 25 to allow for effective participation. Limit one person per organization, please. Pre-requisite of all attendees: minimum 3 years in a fundraising / development capacity.
