Donors List
Lending Program

Below you will find requirements and procedures for borrowing materials from the Foundation Center–San Francisco library collection.

Thanks to the Philanthropic Ventures Foundation for supporting this lending program.

WHO MAY BORROW
Any resident of the Bay Area may borrow books. (San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Santa Clara, Sonoma, Napa, and Solano counties.)

WHAT MAY BE BORROWED
Items from a list of more than 125 titles may be borrowed. A maximum of two items from the lending collection may be borrowed at any given time.

LENGTH OF LOANS
Items may be borrowed for two weeks (14 days). Holds and renewals are not permitted.

BORROWING PROCEDURES
Borrowers must complete a Borrower Registration Form and show a valid photo identification card. By registering in the Lending Program, the borrower agrees to comply with all library rules and regulations and to be accountable for any loss or damage to materials. A borrower assumes full responsibility for items borrowed under her/his name and commits to return them on time. Items may be borrowed and returned anytime the library is open.

LIBRARY HOURS
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 10:00am-5:00pm
Wednesday, 10:00am-8:00pm

HIGH-DEMAND ITEMS
To borrow items labeled "high-demand" borrowers must leave a check made out to the Foundation Center that covers the cost of the item (plus tax). The Foundation Center will return the check to the borrower when the item is returned. Once an item is 30 days overdue it will be considered lost, the borrower will be denied future borrowing privileges and the check will be deposited to cover the cost of the borrowed item(s).

OVERDUE BOOKS
Foundation Center staff will notify borrowers by phone or email when items are overdue. Borrowers who fail to return materials will be denied future borrowing privileges.

LOST AND/OR DAMAGED MATERIALS
If an item is lost, damaged, or not returned, the library will submit a bill to the borrower for full replacement cost. Borrowers who lose or damage materials may be denied future borrowing privileges.
