Mission:
To help emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and their families live successful and fulfilling lives.

About the Organization:
Formed in 1986 after the merger of two Memphis residential treatment centers, Youth Villages annually serves about 14,000 youth with emotional or behavioral disorders, a history of physical or sexual abuse, or problems with substance abuse or suicidal ideations. Current Programs:
Youth Villages offers residential treatment services as well as foster care, in-home therapy, adoption support, a transitional living program, and several Tennessee-based group homes. The organization also provides crisis services for young people experiencing psychiatric emergencies, an emergency shelter for runaway and homeless teens, and a program to help children with developmental disabilities gain the skills they need to live in family settings rather than institutions.

The Youth Villages Web site provides information about the organization's locations, how to make a referral, and how to how to get involved by becoming a mentor or volunteer, fostering or adopting a child, or making a donation.
