About the Organization:
Green for All was launched at the 2007 Clinton Global Initiative by Van Jones, who recently left the nonprofit to become special advisor for green jobs, enterprise, and innovation in the Obama Administration. The organization advocates for local, state, and federal commitments to job creation, training, and entrepreneurial opportunities in the emerging green economy, with the goal of creating well-paid green-collar jobs, safer streets, and healthier communities, especially for low-income individuals, who suffer disproportionately from pollution-related health issues.

Current Programs:
At the federal level, Green for All advocates for policies that would put Americans to work retrofitting the nation for clean energy use, including the creation of a Clean Energy Corps, a Climate Equity Alliance, and a Green Jobs Act. The organization also promotes the creation of green-collar jobs at the city level; works to foster a green jobs movement through its leadership training and Community of Practice programs; and works with businesses to ensure access for people from disadvantaged backgrounds as workers, consumers, and entrepreneurs.

The Green for All Web site provides various resources, including reports and tools for action as well as a blog and podcasts. Funding:
Green for All is funded by the Natural Capital Institute, which has received funding for the organization from individuals, foundations, and other groups.
