The mission of the Boston-based Center for Effective
Philanthropy is to provide foundation trustees and executives
with the management and governance tools needed to define,
assess, and improve overall foundation performance. To
that end, the Center undertakes focused research on issues
impacting philanthropy, with a special emphasis on topics
of concern to senior foundation executives and trustees;
compiles data on foundation performance; and develops
educational programming aimed at foundation CEOs and trustees.
