AGFUND International Prize to Honor Pioneering Development Projects

The AGFUND International Prize is awarded annually by the Arab Gulf Programme for United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND) to honor pioneering development projects in developing countries with the aim of alleviating human suffering and pain. The prize includes financial rewards totaling $300,000, in addition to a trophy and certificate of recognition.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

First Category: For projects implemented by UN, international, and regional organizations, amounting to $150,000.

Second Category: For projects implemented by NGOs, amounting to $100,000.

Third Category: For projects founded, sponsored, and/or implemented by individuals, amounting to $50,000.

United Nations organizations, international and regional organizations, universities, research centers, NGOs, governmental bodies (if not participating in the project implementation), and country federations of NGOs are eligible to submit nominations.

Closing date for acceptance of nominations is April 30 every year.
