Kansas Health Foundation Invites Applications
Kansas Health Foundation Invites Applications for Recognition Grants
The Kansas Health Foundation offers Recognition Grants in order to expand the foundation's support to a broad range of health-related organizations throughout the state. While the majority of the foundation's funding is through invited proposals, the Recognition Grants Program is designed to fund unsolicited requests and is specifically targeted for grassroots groups doing innovative and meaningful work that fits within the foundation's mission.
The program awards grants of up to $25,000 per organization. Because the foundation wants to support as many programs across the state as possible, smaller requests are encouraged. Using a competitive process, the foundation will award up to approximately $2 million annually.
Any tax-exempt nonprofit organization using the funds for charitable purposes and proposing a project that meets the foundation's mission to improve the health of all Kansans is eligible to apply.
Application deadlines are March 15 and September 15 each year. In the event these deadlines fall on a weekend, applications will not be due until the following Monday.
For complete program guidelines, see the Kansas Health Foundation Web site.
