Dog Fence DIY Invites Applications for Veterinary and Pre-Veterinary Academic Scholarships
Dog training product retailer Dog Fence DIY is accepting applications for scholarships to assist pre-veterinary and veterinary students with education expenses.
Dog Fence DIY scholarships provide $2,000, distributed in increments of $500 per semester, to be used at the recipient's discretion. Qualified applicants must be enrolled in a doctor of veterinary medicine program, an undergraduate biology or pre-veterinary studies program, or the equivalent; be enrolled full-time and in good standing at an accredited university; and hold a minimum 3.5 grade point average or equivalent. Undergraduate applicants must have completed at least the first two years of undergraduate education and be a declared biology or pre-veterinary studies major. In addition, all applicants must submit an essay on "How to Be a Better Pet-Owner: Advice From a Veterinary Student." The winner's essay will be posted on the Dog Fence DIY Web site.
In order to receive each $500 increment, Dog Fence DIY scholars must be enrolled on a full-time basis and in good standing at their institution and maintain a 3.5 GPA. In addition, they must remain in either a doctor of veterinary medicine, undergraduate biology, pre-veterinary, or equivalent program.
