VNA Foundation Seeks Letter of Intent for Services Benefiting Chicago's Medically Underserved
The VNA Foundation is accepting Letters of Intent from nonprofit organizations for home- and community-based healthcare and health services that address the needs of the medically underserved in the metropolitan Chicago region.
The foundation awards program, operating, and capital grants in support of home healthcare services, community and school-based services, primary care and chronic disease management, and health promotion. Priority is given to programs in which care is provided by nurses.
To be considered for a grant, organizations must have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service and work to benefit the medically underserved in Cook, Lake, McHenry, DuPage, Kane, and Will counties.
Letters of Intent are accepted on a quarterly basis. Deadlines for 2013 are March 21, June 20, September 19, and December 17.
Eligibility and application guidelines as well as information about past grant recipients are available at the VNA Foundation Web site.
