Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation Accepting Applications for College Success Grants
The Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation's College Success program is designed to help students from traditionally underserved backgrounds stay in college until they complete their studies.
College Success grants of up to $300,000 each are intended to foster programs that connect students of similar backgrounds who are attending two- and four-year colleges and universities, including community and technical colleges, through mentoring and proactive advising services, the development of learning communities, and academic tutoring. To be considered for funding, programs must provide ongoing services designed to increase retention and persistence rates for a defined group of students in collaboration with external or internal partners.
Applicants must be nonprofit, Title IV-eligible higher education institutions and community-based organizations with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service and be located in Iowa, Minnesota, or Wisconsin.
