Home Depot Accepting Applications for Historically Black Colleges and Universities Improvement Grant Program
Home Depot Accepting Applications for Historically Black Colleges and Universities Improvement Grant Program
Through a two-tier award structure, the Home Depot's Retool Your School Campus Improvement grant program recognizes innovative projects that result in enduring improvements to the campuses and/or facilities of historically black colleges and universities.
The four-year-old program awards Tier I and Tier II grants according to a formula that takes into account Home Depot costumer voting and advisory board selections. The application with the highest score will be awarded a $50,000 Tier I grant; twelve subsequent applications will be awarded Tier II grants of $10,000 each. An additional $25,000 in the form of a Campus Pride grant will be awarded to the school that has the most votes and social media activity, as assessed by Home Depot.
To be eligible, applicants must have official HBCU status as determined by the United States Department of Education and a federal tax identification number.
For complete application and eligibility guidelines, including information about last year's awardees, visit the Home Depot Web site.
