William T. Grant Foundation Invites Proposals for New York City Youth Service Improvement Grants
William T. Grant Foundation Invites Proposals for New York City Youth Service Improvement Grants
The William T. Grant Foundation's Youth Service Improvement Grants program supports small to medium-size organizations that have already had some success with helping to improve the lives of New York City youth, but lack the funds to make needed improvements. The program, which awards grants of $25,000, is open to community-based organizations in the five boroughs of New York City wishing to improve the quality of the services they offer to young people.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have 501(c)(3) tax-exemption status; be a community-based organization that provides direct services to youth ages 8 to 25 located in the five boroughs of New York City; and have an operating budget between $250,000 and $5 million. In the case of organizations that exclusively serve youth, thisamount represents the total organizational budget. In the case of multipurpose organizations (i.e., those not exclusively focused on youth), the organizational operating budget must be less than $20 million, and the budget for services to youth (direct and indirect costs) must be between $250,000 and $5 million. Both public and private schools are ineligible for consideration.
Complete application and eligibility guidelines are available on the William T. Grant Foundation Web site.
