Knight Foundation Announces Next Round of Knight Arts Challenge Miami
Knight Foundation Announces Next Round of Knight Arts Challenge Miami
The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation has announced the next round of the Knight Arts Challenge Miami.
Beginning on February 4, 2013, the program will be seeking the best and most innovative ideas from local individuals and organizations seeking to weave the arts into the lives of South Floridians.
Anyone, anywhere can apply to the challenge, so long as they follow three simple rules: 1) the idea must be about the arts; 2) the project must take place in or benefit South Florida; and 3) the applicant must be able to find funding to match the Knight Foundation grant.
Applications will be accepted in English, Spanish, and Creole.
The foundation has compiled a list of resources and strategies on how to best apply, including an FAQ about the contest, video profiles of past winners, a report about the ways the challenge is bringing the community together through the arts, information on the nearly one hundred projects the challenge has funded in the past three years, and advice on how to make an application stand out.
The foundation will also offer opportunities for the community to ask questions through live Web chats and in-person town halls. (Dates will be announced on the Knight Arts program Web site.)
Visit the Knight Arts Web site for complete program information, updates, and application resources.
