Lego Children's Fund Seeks Grant Proposals for Youth Creativity Programs
Lego Children's Fund Seeks Grant Proposals for Youth Creativity Programs
The Lego Children's Fund is accepting grant proposals for programs dedicated to inspiring and encouraging youth creativity. The fund supports programs serving in children from birth to age 14, with priority consideration for disadvantaged or at-risk youth.
Each quarter, the fund awards grants ranging between $500 and $5,000 to organizations working with disadvantaged children and special projects or programs designed to elevate a child's opportunities for exploring creativity. The fund also awards grants to organizations supported by LEGO employee volunteers and organizations serving Connecticut and western Massachusetts. In addition, $100,000 per year is awarded to a single organization identified and selected by the fund's board of directors.
Qualified grantees must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations (including educational organizations) that require support for projects in the areas of early childhood education and development; technology and communications that help advance learning opportunities; and sports or athletic programs on underserved youth.
To ensure that a request is considered for a particular trustee meeting, proposals must be received by the following dates: April 15, July 15, October 15, and January 15.
Grant program guidelines and applications are available at the Lego Children's Fund Web site.
