Crossroads Fund Invites Chicago Community Groups to Apply for Social Change Work Funding
Crossroads Fund Invites Chicago Community Groups to Apply for Social Change Work Funding
The Crossroads Fund supports grassroots groups working for social and economic justice in the greater Chicago metro area (including northwest Indiana).
The Crossroads Seed Fund supports new, emerging, and small community-based organizations that are actively engaged in social change work. Funding is provided for general operating expenses, start-up costs, or project expenses.
To be considered for funding, applicants must be focused on social change and cross-issue organizing, and feature grassroots leadership and involvement at all levels of the organization. The fund prioritizes proposals from historically marginalized communities and looks for work that is collaborative, risk-taking, and strategic.
Crossroads funds groups with budgets under $300,000 and a history of diverse funding sources. Proposals will be accepted from groups without nonprofit 501(c)(3) status as long as they have a fiscal sponsor or organizational bank account.
The maximum grant in this program is $10,000.
Visit the Crossroads Fund Web site for complete program guidelines, application procedures, and information on other Crossroads funding programs.
