Superstar Foundation Invites Nominations for Veronica Awards to Honor Social Service Professionals

The Superstar Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to recognizing and rewarding great social service professionals for the invaluable work that they do, is accepting nominations for the 2012 Veronica Awards.

The awards are given to honor and reward outstanding direct service professionals who have demonstrably and consistently improved the lives of their clients through the development of transformational relationships. Submissions are evaluated on the basis of evidence including letters of recommendation and staff performance data.

Eligible applicants are direct service staff at 501(c)(3) organizations who directly serve program participants.

Self-nominations are encouraged. The program also accepts nominations on behalf of direct service workers by colleagues and/or supervisors.

In 2011, the foundation made four awards of $5,000 to direct service workers.
