Association of Performing Arts Presenters and MetLife Foundation Accepting Grant Applications for Second Round of All-In: Re-imagining Community Participation

Association of Performing Arts Presenters and MetLife Foundation Accepting Grant Applications for Second Round of All-In: Re-imagining Community Participation

The Association of Performing Arts Presenters and the MetLife Foundation are accepting applications for the second round of All-In: Re-imagining Community Participation, a grant program designed to support innovative strategies that target the full spectrum of community members from all generations and populations in community-based performing arts programs.

The program provides support to APAP-member presenting organizations that exhibit outstanding approaches to community engagement.

The program is designed to identify and support organizations committed to learning about and integrating new approaches to fostering the participation of an entire community; support the planning and implementation of community engagement projects that go beyond conventional audience development strategies; and share new and adaptive strategies from funded projects in an effort to increase the effectiveness of community engagement practices.

Projects should target one or more populations that lack significant engagement in the arts and cultural life of the applicant's community. Targeted populations may be based on demographics unique to the community (e.g., ethnically diverse/immigrants, generational/older adults, economically disadvantaged, people with disabilities, or others).

Applicants must be nonprofit entities and current members of APAP.

One-year grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded to presenting organizations in support of promising new approaches to community engagement through the performing arts. A total of $150,000 is available in this funding round.

Visit the APAP Web site for complete program guidelines, application materials, and information about pilot-round grantees.
