Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation Seeks Applicants for Oral Health Funding

The Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation has announced the launch of its 2013 community grants program, which provides funding to organizations helping to improve the oral health of Arizonans.

The program will award one-year grants of $1,000 to $15,000 to support oral health promotion and dental disease prevention programs for children and youth up to age 18, as well as oral hygiene programs for pregnant mothers.

Grants will be awarded in two categories: 1) Increased Access to Preventive Dental Health Services — grants for programs providing direct prevention services, oral health instruction, screenings, exams, education and/or training (these funds are not intended for restorative dental services); and 2) Community-Based Groups, Coalitions, and Partnerships Addressing Local Oral Health Projects — garnts for staffing and other costs for local, collaborative groups/coalitions offering oral health community activities.

Grants are available to public schools, federally recognized Indian tribes and their component agencies, governmental entities, and nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations. Faith -based organizations that are registered charities or incorporated not-for-profits are eligible to apply provided the program is not religious in nature.
