Youth Service America Invites Nominations of Young Social Entrepreneurs for Gladys Marinelli Coccia Award
Youth Service America is accepting nominations of young social entrepreneurs for the Gladys Marinelli Coccia Award.
The award will recognize two exceptional young people who are actively engaged in social entrepreneurship and in leading sustainable social change.
To be eligible, a nominee must be between 13 and 22 years of age at the time of nomination, be a social entrepreneur who has launched and is leading his or her own program aimed at sustainable social change, have a business plan and a budget for how the award will be used for the social enterprise, and be located resident of the United States. One of the two honorees will be selected from the Washington, D.C., or West Virginia region.
Eligible individuals may be nominated by organizations, peers, or adult mentors. Self-nominations will also be accepted.
Each of the honorees will receive $2,000 to support their social enterprise as well as resources and technical assistance from YSA.
