Robert Wood Johnson Seeks Proposals From Organizations to Assist in Managing and Learning From Healthcare Payment and Delivery System Reform
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has announced a call for proposals to identify one or more organizations that can assist the foundation with its healthcare payment and delivery system reform work.
As part of its strategy to identify and provide models for national healthcare reform, the foundation is intensifying efforts to identify and understand novel payment and delivery approaches that might sustain high-quality, high-value care. The grantee(s) selected through this solicitation will undertake a comprehensive learning process that will involve synthesizing and monitoring RWJF payment and delivery system reform grants, analyzing public and private reform efforts in the field at large, and convening practitioners and researchers to identify common themes, challenges, and opportunities.
The grantee(s) will use this learning process to help the foundation more clearly articulate and share the results of its work, spot programming gaps and identify opportunities for future grantmaking, and assist existing and possibly future RWJF grantees as their payment and delivery system reform projects unfold.
The foundation may give preference to applicants that are either public entities or nonprofit organizations that are tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and are not private foundations or Type III supporting organizations. Applicant organizations must be based in the United States or its territories. Consistent with RWJF values, this call for proposals embraces diversity and inclusion across multiple dimensions (i.e., race, ethnicity, gender, age, and disadvantaged socioeconomic status).
The foundation will award up to $800,000 for up to twenty-four months. The foundation may award the full amount to a single organization for the full scope of work, or may award up to three separate grants to different organizations for specific tasks.
Applicant webinars will be held on June 26 and 27, 2012. Online registration for the webinars is required.
Visit the RWJF Web site for the complete call for proposals, application procedures, and webinar registration information.
