Genzyme Announces Second Annual Patient Advocacy Leadership Awards Program
Genzyme, a Sanofi pharmaceutical company interested in therapies for rare diseases and multiple sclerosis, has announced the launch of the second annual Genzyme Patient Advocacy Leadership Awards program.
The PAL awards support nonprofit organizations anywhere in the world that work on behalf of patients living with Lysosomal Storage Disorders, a group of rare, inherited disorders that cause progressive and debilitating health problems. The program seeks to spark innovation in disease awareness programs and patient support initiatives around the world.
Genzyme will award a total of $100,000 in grants to organizations working on new initiatives designed to support the LSD patient community. Organizations may apply for a PAL award for programs that support LSD awareness, advocacy on behalf of patient communities, patient education, and patient care, support, and communication networks.
For complete program guidelines, application procedures, and to learn more about 2011 PAL award recipients and their projects, visit the Genzyme Advocacy Awards Web site.
