Center for Nonprofit Advancement Invites Nominations for Board Leadership Award

The Center for Nonprofit Advancement, in partnership with Reznick Group and BoardSource, is accepting nominations for the Board Leadership Award.

The competitive award program spotlights one Washington, D.C.- area nonprofit with an annual budget under $2 million and one with an annual budget over $2 million.

The award is designed to recognize the role that nonprofit boards play in building and sustaining successful organizations by executing their fiduciary and leadership responsibilities — assuring that they are well led, well supported, and responsive to the people and communities they serve. The award-winning organizations must demonstrate not only a steady track record of good governance and excellent leadership, but a significant improvement and notable achievements of their organization.

One organization from each budget category will receive $10,000; PR coverage via print, radio, television, and social media; and training and development opportunities for the board and CEO from BoardSource and the center's Learning & Leadership Institute. Up to two organizations from each category will be selected as honorable mention recipients and will receive PR coverage and training and development opportunities as described above. Please note: The fee to participate is $50 for center members, and $100 for all other organizations.
