Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles Issues Invitation for 2010 Cutting Edge Grants Concept Papers
The Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles has announced that the deadline to apply for its Cutting Edge Grants Initiative is November 30, 2009. Cutting Edge Grants of up to $250,000 each will be awarded for innovative multiyear programs that address important, substantiated needs in the Los Angeles Jewish community.
Nonprofit organizations or social entrepreneurs with fiscal sponsors may receive funding for programs never before tested; community-wide implementation of programs successfully piloted in Los Angeles; adaptations of high-impact programs tested outside of Los Angeles; or programs developed by social entrepreneurs to establish new nonprofits (with a sponsoring fiscal partner).
Organizations or individuals interested in applying for a Cutting Edge Grant are encouraged to attend a free workshop at the foundation's offices on October 14, 2009. Attendees will learn about the Cutting Edge Grants process, selection criteria, and how to write a competitive concept paper. Registration is required.
Visit the foundation's Web site to register for the workshop and for complete information on the Cutting Edge Grants program.
