Lilly Endowment Announces 2010 Indiana Teacher Creativity Fellowship Program
Lilly Endowment Announces 2010 Indiana Teacher Creativity Fellowship Program
The Lilly Endowment is accepting application for its Teacher Creativity Fellowship Program.
For 2010, the twenty-third year of the program, the endowment will again offer up to 120 grants of $8,000 each to Indiana's K-12 public and private school teachers, guidance counselors, library/media specialists, principals, and assistant principals for renewal projects of the individual's choice.
The program will support creative projects that are personally renewing and intellectually revitalizing. Applicant teachers must commit to a six-week, full-time project during the summer of 2010. (Principals and assistant principals, however, may propose a timeline that, either during the summer or over the course of a full year, permits them to engage in renewal activities.)
For a 2010 fellowship, licensed teachers in Indiana public, private, and parochial schools (including guidance counselors and library/media specialists) and principals and assistant principals in such schools (who have held one of these positions since the fall or 2007 or earlier) are eligible to apply. Applicants must be employed full-time and must be Indiana-certified in grades K-12. Past Teacher Creativity Fellowship recipients who received their first award before 2003 are eligible to apply for the 2010 program.
For complete program guidelines and information on the projects of previous fellows, visit the Lilly Endowment Web site.
