Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Offers 2010 Individual Artist Fellowships
Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Offers 2010 Individual Artist Fellowships
The Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation provides administrative support and organizes panel reviews for the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowships.
In 2010, fellowships will be awarded for apprenticeships in folk and traditional arts; documentary and narrative on media arts; painting or drawing/artist's books/printmaking; work in new technologies and other genres; theater scriptworks (by playwrights and screenwriters); and classical music composition.
Individual creative artists residing in Pennsylvania can apply for one non-matching fellowship. Fellowships are awarded in fixed amounts of $5,000 or $10,000 to eligible Pennsylvania artists of exceptional talent to enable them to pursue their artistic goals.
Applicants must be individual creative artists who are current residents of Pennsylvania. Applicants must be domiciled in Pennsylvania at least two years prior to the application deadline. Two individuals who can clearly demonstrate a history of ongoing collaboration and who plan to continue such a collaboration may apply together. Individuals enrolled in high school, or in a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree program in the arts are not eligible to apply. Recipients of a 2009 PCA Fellowship also are not eligible to apply.
Visit the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation Web site for complete application guidelines.
