Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation Invites Nominations for Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards
Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation Invites Nominations for Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards
The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation established the Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Awards Program to
support the teaching and research careers of talented young faculty
in the chemical sciences. The program is focused primarily on
individual research accomplishments and promise, but evidence of
excellence in teaching is also expected.
Institutions in the states, districts, and territories of the
United States that grant a bachelor's or higher degree in
chemistry, chemical engineering, or biochemistry may submit
nominations to the program. Nominees must hold a full-time
tenure-track academic appointment and are normally expected to
be within the first five years of their independent academic
careers.
The Camille Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award provides an unrestricted
$75,000 research grant. Of that total, $7,500 is earmarked for
departmental expenses associated with research and education.
Funds are normally expended over a period of five years.
Institutions may make only one nomination annually for the Dreyfus
Teacher-Scholar Awards Program. Visit the foundation's Web site
for complete program information .
