KU Donors Provide $13 Million for School of Business Building

The University of Kansas has announced donations totaling more than $13 million toward construction of a new School of Business building.

Alumni and others with ties to the school have made leadership gifts totaling $10 million for the project, including $2.5 million from the Hall Family Foundation, $2.5 million from David and Suzanne Booth, and $1.4 million from Dana and Sue Anderson. The six-story, 166,000-square-foot building featuring modern learning labs and auditoria, space for collaboration and research, and the latest technology is expected to cost about $60 million.

Part of the $1.2 billion Far Above: Campaign for Kansas, the gifts are in addition to a $20 million commitment for the building from the Capitol Federal Foundation in Topeka announced in October.

"The creation of a new building is so critical to the advancement of the KU School of Business," said School of Business dean Neeli Bendapudi. "I am excited to see the support for this project, and it is worth noting that a significant portion of these donations were made by members of the school's advisory board."
