Bremer Foundation Awards Grants Totaling Nearly 4.6 Million
The
Otto Bremer Foundation in St. Paul has announced eighty-one grants totaling nearly $4.6 million to nonprofits in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.
The foundation awarded forty-eight grants totaling $2,909,114 to programs and organizations in Minnesota, including $200,000 to the American Heart Association Midwest Affiliate, Inc.; $150,000 to the Minnesota Literacy Council; and $150,000 to Artspace Projects, Inc.
In North Dakota, the foundation awarded eighteen grants totaling $973,520, including $102,700 to Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake; $64,084 to the First Nations Women's Alliance, also in Devils Lake; and $60,000 to Rebuilding Together - Fargo Moorhead Area, Inc. In addition, the foundation awarded fifteen grants totaling $698,531 to organizations in Wisconsin. Recipients include Ashland County Criminal Justice ($130,000); the
Chippewa Valley Technical College Foundation, Inc. ($75,000); and the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, Inc. ($50,000).
