Motion Picture and Television Fund Receives $30 Million Gift

Motion Picture and Television Fund Receives $30 Million Gift

Barry Diller, chairman of IAC/InterActiveCorp., has donated $30 million to the Motion Picture and Television Fund's $350 million capital campaign, the Hollywood Reporter reports.

Awarded through the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation, the gift will help the organization provide support and services to active and retired members of the film industry. According to MPTF, an estimated seventy-five thousand people in the industry will retire over the next decade.

"[It] seems impossible to me to have had success in the entertainment industry and not strongly support the MPTF," said Diller in a statement. "I'm just glad and happy to be able to do so."
