Saint Luke's Foundation Awards Nearly $1 Million in Second-Quarter Grants
The Cleveland-based Saint Luke's Foundation has announced grants totaling nearly $1 million to eleven organizations working to provide human services that are helping to shape the region's future.
The second-quarter grants include $150,000 to the Cleveland Food Bank to help the organization keep pace with the growing demand for emergency food relief in Northeast Ohio; $150,000 to help the Care Alliance provide medical and dental care for the needy; $120,000 to Planned Parenthood of Northeast Ohio for their Putting Teens First: Increasing Access for Youth in Cleveland's Inner Ring Suburbs program; and $100,000 to the Fund for Our Economic Future for a program to bolster economic competitiveness in the region.
"Meeting real-time community needs in real time is something each of these grantees works toward every day," said Saint Luke's Foundation president and CEO Denise San Antonio Zeman. "Whether it's providing direct services like medical care and emergency food assistance or shaping the way the region creates jobs or supports children, each plays a key role in enhancing the quality of life of our residents."
