Chicago Community Trust Announces 2009 Trust Fellows
The Chicago Community Trust has announced nine fellows — six emerging and three experienced leaders — for its 2010 Trust Fellowship program, which offers professional development opportunities to leaders in the nonprofit and public sectors.
Now in its second year, the Trust Fellowship is designed to elevate the careers of Chicago leaders while helping to increase their future influence in the Chicago metropolitan area. The experienced leaders receive up to $60,000 while emerging leaders receive up to $30,000 to cover current salary and benefits for time off to engage in professional development activities. This year's fellows were selected for their demonstrated leadership and commitment to their field as well as for their creativity, originality, and potential to make important contributions in the future.
"At a time when innovation is vital to keep Chicago competitive in this global economy, each of these Trust fellows represents the next generation of nonprofit leadership," said Terry Mazany, president and chief executive officer of the Chicago Community Trust. "Each fellow not only has enormous talent and passion, but the imagination and agility required to adapt to these ever-changing times. We are excited to see the leadership that they bring to their field and to the Chicago metropolitan area."
