Communications CoordinatorInternational Center for Transitional Justice New York, New York
Assist in the development, design, editing and distribution of communications collateral; coordinate the maintenance and expansion of the English website, overall web presence, newsletter and other mailing outreach. Support other communications functions through the maintenance of communications calendar, invoicing and budget tracking, publications inventory and other administrative tasks. The role is based at ICTJ’s headquarters in New York and reports to the Director of Communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor’s degree required specialization in communications, journalism, international relations, public policy, or other relevant field preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of professional communications experience, preferably in human rights and/or international programs. Related Skills or Knowledge: Superb writing, editing and proofreading capabilities; ability to translate complex issues into clear, simple ideas; outstanding presentation/oral and written communication/interpersonal skills; ability to multitask and manage projects under pressure, adhering to strict deadlines; highly organized with extreme attention to detail; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong interest in international affairs, particularly human rights; advanced knowledge of MS Office and databases; knowledge of design software, Drupal and HTML; fluency in a foreign language, esp. French, Spanish or Arabic desirable.
