Girl Scouts of the USA - Associate, Development Data Systems
The Associate, Development Data Systems oversees wealth screening for Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) and councils, including vendor management, process, training and communication. She/he will handle identification and creation of new major prospect records, prospect management and portfolio segmentation in close collaboration with the Manager of Prospect Research and Management and the Senior Director of revenue lines or their designees. The Associate will implement portfolio qualifications and work closely with front line fundraisers and leadership to support staff and to ensure appropriately balanced and active portfolios and pipeline activity. The incumbent will enhance and streamline the system for tracking and reporting on performance metrics regarding portfolio management, pipeline activity and management. She/he will work with the Manager of Prospect Research and Management to help implement effective policies and processes for the CRM system for use regarding po rtfolio, pipeline proposal and CRM information entry with a goal of creating scalable, effective, intuitive reports to front line staff, fund development leadership and management, if needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a non-profit fundraising or constituent-related setting required
- Experience with CRM and relational databases essential, along with demonstrated knowledge of trends in the CRM profession
- Demonstrated proficiency in Raiser’s Edge and Crystal Reports, along with solid skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Research experience, including use of web-based tools and online sources, highly desirable, along with financial research experience, including analysis of alternative asset firms for determining personal worth a plus
- Demonstrated expertise to organize, synthesize, and analyze material from multiple sources and articulate findings clearly and concisely, both written and verbal
- Proven expertise in prioritizing and managing multiple assignments, and meeting tight deadlines,
- Demonstrated strong communication and listening skills, along with expertise at working independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in recognition of wealth indicators
- Proven knowledge of business terms and what constitutes relevant, credible, and strategic information
- Experience identifying prospect interests, inclinations, motivations, coincidences, linkages, and potential conflicts
- Research, investigative, paralegal, or similar training preferred
- Proven creative, resourceful formulation of prospect management strategy, problem-solving, and data retrieval
- Experience in manipulating CRM databases and search engines with precise query syntax
- Occasional travel up to 15 percent of the time, when required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or related area, or equivalent relevant experience
