Citi Performing Arts Center - Development Assistant
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), the Development Assistant is responsible for providing research, fundraising and administrative support for the CDO and Development department. Research support will include: assisting with database maintenance; coordinating prospect research; organizing prospect management reporting and tracking; and managing the Development file system. Fundraising support will include: coordinating registration and bios for Development events; tracking prospects & requests for information; supporting stewardship tracking and activities; and attend Development events as needed (occasional night and weekend hours). This opportunity is ideal for candidates who are eager to immerse themselves in a hands-on development operation, work in a collaborative environment with professionals, and help advance one of the most innovative performing arts centers in the country.
A Bachelor’s degree and the ability to use all Microsoft Office programs are required. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge is a plus. The ideal individual will possess strong oral communication skills, the ability to write concisely and persuasively, and a talent for manipulating data. He/she should also be a self-starter and have the poise and confidence necessary to work with patrons and donors. He/she should have excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, produce quality work, be detail-oriented, and meet deadlines. Curiosity, creativity, team spirit, and a sense of humor are appreciated. Good judgment, a strong work ethic, discretion, people skills, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
