The National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) is the Smithsonian museum devoted to the study, exhibition and documentation of African American history and culture. The Advancement Associate position is located in the Department of Development and reports to the Development Operations Manager. The incumbent is responsible for conducting donor research, data entry of biological and gift information on donors, entering and tracking donor/prospect solicitation figures using various database systems, and providing technical and administrative support to the Museum’s advancement programs.
REQUIREMENTS
This position requires comprehensive knowledge of fundraising programs. The successful applicant must demonstrate skill in using donor database systems, such as The Raiser’s Edge, Millennium, Excel spreadsheets or other data management and analysis tools. In addition, be able to effectively review, edit, and produce written information so the intended audience understands the material.
This is not a Federal position, but has similar requirements and benefits. Term of employment is 1-year with the option of renewal. Salary range $51,630 - $67,114.
