Expect Miracles Foundation - Web & Graphic Designer (Part-time/Freelance)
Expect Miracles Foundation – Financial Services Against Cancer is the fastest growing charity within the financial community. The Foundation works with the top tier financial institutions while supporting cutting edge cancer research and cancer patient care programs. The Foundation is currently seeking an experienced Web & Graphic Designer to join its small hardworking team.
The ideal candidate will have strong web and graphic design experience and thrive in a deadline driven and quick changing environment. The incumbent will be responsible for managing all of the Foundation’s website and graphic design needs, including: creating event collateral, branding new programs, updating marketing materials, and handling website upkeep.
Responsibilities:

Facilitate website maintenance, design and management using Joomla (CMS)

Design and execute newsletters and email campaigns using Constant Contact email marketing program
-
Develop and design all print marketing materials, including: program books, signage, brochures, handouts, and more
-
Maintain brand consistency through all projects and initiatives
-
Develop PowerPoint templates and presentations

Manage and facilitate projects with third party printing vendors and partners, including: comparing quotes, overseeing deadlines, and tracking fulfillment

Create videos using photographs, clips, and multimedia, to communicate campaigns

Brand new programs and initiatives and create logos as needed
Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
-
Must have own laptop with Adobe Create Suite CS5 or higher installed

Experience with branding, conceptualizing new logos and affiliated marketing materials

Strong knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Joomla (CMS), Adobe Creative Suite

Comfortable juggling multiple projects and priorities, and working ad-hoc hours when needed for events

Creativity, communication, and problem solving skills

Terrific work ethic and an eye for detail

Open to new ideas and influences and quick to react to changing trends

Experience working independently and collaborating within a small team.
Preferred:
-
3+ years of experience in interactive design, graphic design, content development and/or multimedia production
-
Experience working with a donor database is a plus

Video editing skills
-
Writing and editing skills
-
Non-profit work experience and passion for our mission
-
Aptitude for technology and file sharing systems
This position is approximately 20 hrs on average a week, with additional hours as needed prior to events. Compensation is based on experience. A flexible schedule is available for the right candidate, as is the ability to work from home, with at least one day a week in the office. Our office is conveniently located in Boston’s financial district and easily accessible to public transportation.
