Ventura County Community Foundation - Capital Campaign Coordinator
VCCF is looking to hire a full time contract position to lead a $10 million capital campaign for the new VCCF Nonprofit Center in Camarillo. This position is expected to last 2-3 years and involves working with donors, prospects, volunteers and VCCF staff to identify, nurture, solicit and close individual and institutional gifts to the campaign. Experience preferred includes bachelor of arts degree, minimum of five years capital campaign experience for nonprofit/educational institution(s) with proven experience of soliciting successfully gifts in the $50-100,000 range, including face/face solicitation, proposal writing and managing multiple priorities. Working successfully with campaign committee, volunteers, board members and senior staff is critical for success; reports directly to CEO. Community foundation fund development experience is an added benefit, as is familiarity with planned giving strategies.
The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written skills, technical skills for onsite/remote data management systems, initiative within a collegial and collaborative style, an ambitious work discipline and able to work with part time staff support.
