OPPORTUNITY:
Are you a nonprofit finance professional ready to bring your expertise in providing strategic guidance and hands-on implementation of best practices to a $4 million, multi-site organization with private donor, program service and complex government funding? With the support of a small staff you will conduct the day-to-day departmental functions including general accounting, AP, AR, purchasing, payroll and bank reconciliations. In addition, you will be responsible for budget control and analysis, financial reporting, and management of payroll, audit, revenue, expenses, and insurances. As the lead finance professional within the organization, you will foster meaningful relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders including program and property management staff, government and other funding partners, banks, vendors and a devoted Board of Directors (you will attend meetings of the finance committee as well as meetings with the Board and Executive Management Te am). QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires a Bachelors Degree in accounting/finance (Master’s degree preferred) and a minimum of 4+ years of public accounting and supervisory experience. Proficiency in Fund EZ and extensive experience with government social service contracting particularly NYS Office of Mental Health, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, HUD, Medicaid reimbursement, and housing finance are required.
