Position Description:
The Immigration Campaign Program Coordinator will work with the Immigration Campaign Manager to implement a nationally coordinated campaign with FIRM member organizations focused on building the power and capacity of the immigrant rights movement and achieving state and federal policy change. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly organized, adept at coordinating, prioritizing, organizing, and following through; highly energetic and able to balance multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
This position reports to: The Immigration Campaign Manager
Principal Responsibilities:

In coordination with senior staff manages the day to day needs of the Fair Immigration Reform Movement (FIRM).

Coordinates and facilitates the work of FIRM through its various committees.

Coordinates logistics of FIRM’s immigration related campaigns.

Assists the Campaign Manager with coordination of field/online strategies staff to build the list of immigration reform supporters across the country.

Provides administrative support for FIRM activities such as preparing meeting materials, engaging in follow-up with individual FIRM members etc.;

Communicates with FIRM members on a daily and weekly basis; and provides support required for successful implementation of campaign related events.
- Additional coordination and/or administrative support functions to be assigned by the Senior Campaign Manager.
Qualifications:

Solid experience in program coordination, and facilitation and coordination of events.

Experience working with community-based, grassroots, and/or coalition organizations.

Familiarity with immigration reform issues in the United States, including federal comprehensive immigration reform, the DREAM Act, DHS enforcement policies, and state and local immigration initiatives is strongly preferred.

Familiarity with grassroots advocacy, at either the federal or state level, including experience with national campaigns to secure policy change.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment.

Demonstrated ability to create a sense of community among disparate organizations and leaders towards common purpose.

Capacity and willingness to travel frequently.

Experience and comfort working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Ability to work effectively with people of different cultures.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to produce consistent, quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
