Under the general supervision of the Annual Giving Manager, the Development Associate will play an important role in supporting fundraising operations by providing administrative and operational support and volunteer coordination to the Advancement Department and participating in all fundraising activities (including direct mail, e-solicitations and telefund programs), volunteer and donor relations, alumni outreach and special events.
The individual we seek will have related work experience with increasingly responsible administrative/clerical tasks, a background working successfully in a fast-paced, demanding environment, preferably in fundraising, higher education or a non-profit organization, and proficiency with MS Office, data entry and online applications. Strong customer service, interpersonal, written/verbal communication, organizational and proofreading skills are essential. The ability to type 45 wpm and experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
